Our methodology
Every price derives from the world ounce price through one canonical formula: ounce price ÷ 31.1034768 × karat purity × exchange rate. Prices are indicative raw-metal values before making charges, hallmarking and dealer margin; they refresh automatically throughout the day from several market data services with fallbacks, and the time and state of the latest update are always shown transparently.
The Zakat calculator applies 2.5% of the market value of pure metal once the nisab (85 g gold / 595 g silver) is met and a full Hijri year has passed, computed on the Umm al-Qura calendar to the day, disclosing recognised juristic differences. It is an estimation aid, not a fatwa.
